I guess I should sell all my 300blk gear and buy the new improved AK.

Can that handle heavy bullets?
And what about it being .311 and not .308? For reloading.

I sense sarcasm due to the OP's tone (from the linked thread) about how the 300 BLK is now irrelevant.

I love all the comments slamming BLK cause it isn't stocked at Walmart!

It is always funny when people say they don't get the desirability of the round.
I can understand a given person not wanting it, but it is not difficult to understand why many people would want it. 30 caliber is hugely popular, and this is the way most will want to shoot 30 cal from an AR15, as it uses normal magazines with full capacity.

so lets see, commie bullets in an overpriced RRA AR will kill the 300?

That rifle seems like a wonderful solution to a problem that doesn't exist, lol.

I actually have a Special Weapons lower like that - as I believed (at the time) it made the 300 Whisper(R) pointless.
The problem was that the bolts were still breaking and it needed a special carrier to clear the AK magazine feel lips.
And besides, Whisper ammo was $45 a box when I got it. Now 300 BLK ammo is $11 a box, so the ammo cost differential is not as great. Decent 7.62x39mm ammo from Winchester or Hornady is no cheaper than 300 BLK ammo.
And I see no chance of the military or LE adopting 7.62x39mm.

Hold my drink while i post my 300blk upper for sale for this AR ak that still will have bolt face issues. And whats the chance of this AR/AK cycling subsonic? Zero
Re: Sorry folks, I guess we're through
This RRA rifle is for the guy who has everything. I do not see the practicability of this at all compared to 300 BLK. As stated before, I have everything I need to convert my rifle to .556 except the barrel. I for reload 300 BLK so ammo cost is not an issue.
I don't know why anyone would want to take a round shot out of the most reliable weapon systems known to mankind and throw it in a rifle that is fairly error prone with the same maintenance that an AK typically takes. That alone makes this RRA rifle a true "one of a kind" conversation piece if you ask me.
