Group Buy for 300 BLK Savage Barrels

Post by lskok »

We are very excited about this new Group Buy. These are prefit Savage barrels and will have a threaded muzzle! These barrels will be shipping in March 2012. These ER Shaw barrels have the following specification:

Savage Small Shank, Standard Sporter Contour, 16.5” length, 300 AAC Blackout, 1-8” rate of twist, 4140 Gun Grade Chrome Moly Steel, provided “in the white”. Muzzle threaded 5/8-24 and features a .9" seating shoulder.

We will be doing this one a bit different from the previous offerings in that we will be taking a $25 deposit. We will generate an invoice shortly after your order is placed and apply the deposit to that invoice. The balance will be charged to you at the time of shipping.

Not familiar with the savage / bolt market. How cheap can one of these be built into a complete gun for? Still looking forward to the Handi.

If you don't have a Savage 10 or similar already you could just buy a Savage Axis 223 new for around $275. You will need to buy/borrow a barrel nut wrench and headspace gauges to install the new barrel. For a few bucks more I would get a Stevens 200 or Savage Mod 10 in 223 (or 204) since you will have more choices for aftermarket stocks, triggers, etc.

Thanks,
"in the white" means that it is not blued. It comes looking similar to a stainless steel barrel although it is chrome moly steel. This gives you the option if you want to blue, duracote, cerakote, etc.

If you are wanting one of these barrels you should get your order in as soon as possible. I'm locking in the quantities on Monday. I'll order extra's but you are only guaranteed to get one if you have a confirmed order.
