At $35 per box, this is nothing to be happy about. I liked the idea a lot more when .300Blk was going to be as cheap to shoot as .223. I pay less for match .308. After shipping, each trigger squeeze will cost you about $1.80. This is why my first thouand rounds were from the factory and my next few thousand will be reloads.

I know. This is really the military ammo which had special requirements, and which I wanted to make available to everyone. The low-cost UMC ammo is still coming out, and will be what you are looking for.

Also, let's not forget that just a year ago the cheapest ammo of this nature was Cor-Bon and was $45 a box. So while there will be low-cost loads for this cartridge - which I agree is critically important, some of them will be special purpose and have special requirements and and at a higher price.

Robert,

You said that AAC would be selling the custom Sierra 125 grain OTM projectiles.
Any word on when they will be available?

It should be similar to the Sierra 155 Palma bullet prices as it uses the same amount of copper.

I would have liked to see the cheap ammo come out before the expensive stuff…

I am really happy I reload all my own ammo because at $35.00 I couldn’t afford to go out pig hunting as much as I do.

I re-allocated them all for loaded ammo, so they won't be available anytime soon.
