I am not much of a poster on message boards but this gun turned out neat enough to share...
This gun started off as a Remington 700 .17 Fireball. It came with the HS precision stock. Took off the stock barrel and, after 2 months on backorder, put on the lightweight barrel from AAC as well as a blackout flash hider. After that came the Badger Ordnance M5 bottom metal and AI magazine. The only other item on the rifle of note would be the KRG bolt lift knob.
20 MOA EGW scope mount. Weaver lightweight rings. Nightforce 2.5-10X with mil radian zero stop turrets and a mil dot reticule. Cat tail on the magnification knob.
Shoots great. Just zeroed it in with 110 grain Hornaday vmax. Have not shot for groups yet but I think it is going to be a real shooter. Waiting for the 7.62 SDN stamp from ATF. Couple of months out.
Anyways. Build one. Its fun. I have not weighed it but it is a great fast little rifle.

Re: Lightweight Remington 700
Can you post pictures of the bolt face and maybe measurements of the ejector?
I'm interested in the differences between the .223 and .17fb ejectors.

Thats pretty nice.

Sweet looking rig! How does it shoot? You should post this pic over at Sniper's Hide. There's more people there that would appreciate what you've done here in a bolt gun. Most of the audience here prefer AR's in 300 BLK.
Make sure to post another pic with the SDN attached when you receive it.

Wow...Great job. If it shoots as good as it looks it will be a tack driver. Thanks for sharing.
