Looking at the target, looks like the bullets had not stabalized upon impact.

"a roar among snipers"? Really? is the author even a sniper?

I'm sure I'm supposed to keep my mouth shut about such things, but that article, just from the splash page, sounds like a lot of the reason people hate gun rags these days.

while not about "snipers", I hope to do the upper, caliber, and can more justice by being more honest when I write my article. I'm past 6 months with the upper, and had a 3-4 month hiatus due to family emergencies, but as I get back into this I want to continue to address the shortcomings I've found in my use and the way that AAC/Remington is addressing them. the big lynchpin for me is the new supersonic ammo. I have quite a stock of the 123 but given it's malfunction rate it's not something I want to continue using, and I want to retain the limited amount of subsonic I have left for the rare occasion when I get to visit the can.

Rob,

I will send you some 125 grain ammo in Aug. The 123 is being replaced with ammo that uses a longer bullet.

I agree, it doesn't look right to me either, but I'm on an iPhone now, I'll look at it on a pc.

Interesting. I knew my rifle couldn't be the only one that will not stabilize subs. Those holes look about like mine does with any bullet at subsonic velocity. Mine is a 7.5 twist. Hard to believe they didn't get a baffle strike.

I can't stabilize the 240gr SMK at all, some 220's not so good either. I'm going to work on something with a much tighter twist as soon as I get caught up with other projects.
