We have got alot of groups that hover on both sides of .5" out of a 9" bbl. However, this is off of a really good rest, It would be more like 15" groups. Alot of people that dont get good accuracy out of short barrels, do get good groups when the rifle is clamped down.

Yeah. Also, when I report these groups, I mean an average of 5 groups, not the best group. We get individual groups lower, but reporting them is misleading - and basically everyone does it but it really steams me. The counter-argument is that no car maker or racer reports their average 1/4 mile time or track time, just their best.

Here is an example for the 9 inch upper at 100 yards:

110 grain Berger bullets:

1.1
1.1
1.0
1.5
1.0
------
Ave - 1.14

I report this as 1.14. Someone else would report it as 1.0.

110 Sierra bullets:

1.5
1.1
0.9
1.3
1.4
------
Ave - 1.26

I report this as 1.26. Someone else would report it as 0.9.

So what did I mean about 16 inch barrels being "significantly more accurate?" Well, from a test barrel, 16 inches:

Berger:

0.8
1.0
0.5
0.8
0.9
------
Ave - 0.8 (this would be commonly reported as 0.5 MOA).

Sierra:

1.2
0.7
0.8
0.9
0.9
-----
Ave - 0.9 (this would be commonly reported as 0.7 MOA).

Well, the way that you report it would be the correct way.

Thank to all for the input. I cannot ask for better than 1 in groups +/- at 100 yards with subs. So that settels it for me.

Silencertalk, whos barrels/uppers were you testing? Do you have a link? I am new to this forum and am obviously not aware of you and your masive participation on this board. Thanks.
