The erosion would affect the baffles not the tube. That said, Ti loses a lot of it's strength between around 900 degrees. It's weaker than aluminum at that point. For general use, shoot slowly with Ti-anything.
Also, not saying it'll melt away, but as a civilian and the hoops/waiting you've got to go through, it'd suck to wear out a can fast.

Suitability of Ti for 300 BLK Suppressor Tube
Ok, so on a separate thread on the main Silencer Talk forum the question came up about baffle erosion/metal strength/etc. Someone proposed using a Ti suppressor rater for 300 Win Mag for a SBR since it would theoretically be more robust. Ti was not recommended due to increased erosion from semi-auto fire. I then asked if a Ti tube would be affected greatly by heat and wear. Answer is below from JasonAAC. My question is: would the Liberty Mystic, with SS baffles and a Ti tube be fine for 300 BLK even over a couple of mag dumps due to the cartridge not producing brutal pressure and heat or am I better off with a completely SS suppressor?

According to Liberty, it IS rated for the 300 BLK.

Wow, can't believe I missed that. Thanks.

Thanks Jason. Didn't want to hijack the thread over there anymore than it already was. This can die now.
Re: Suitability of Ti for 300 BLK Suppressor Tube
Ti can be fine. It depends on how it is made and the alloy.
