300 blackout --- ARMS 41B-L Mid-length Dizzy Upper

Post by firefighter509 »

So I Really want a 300 Blackout with a FSP at the mid-length position so I can run a Magpul mid-length MOE hand-guard.

I have been looking at the idea of having a barrel made (carbine length ) and have a FSP pinned at the mid-length position, but the cost of pinning makes this unpractical,

*** So I was thinking could I get a AAC Barrel (carbine length) run a Low Profile gas block and add on a ARMS 41B-L FLIP UP FRONT SITE on the mid-length position and have the setup I am looking for. Or am i missing something?

It should be fine. It seems like an expensive option to end up with a MOE handguard but,
it should work just fine. If you are going to spend that kind of cash, there are probably
better setups......but thats just my opinion.

By the way, that ARMS flipper will probably cost you more than just buying a FSB and
having it pinned.

Don't forget the bolt-on FSB's that would save you the cost of drilling and pinning. Do a google search and you'll find several (YHM makes an affordable one as compared to the ARMS).

That said, I agree with the above post. Seems like your money could be better spent on a better handguard or free float rather than spending more to use a cheaper handguard.....kind of like buying a sports car and putting cheap tires on it.

BUT, if the MOE floats your boat, so be it. Enjoy the new build and post pics when you're done!

If I were in your shoes I would xheck with Aaron at Delta co arms I'm sure he'd be glad to give you a quote on a set up built to your specs. Might not be as expensive as you think. Goodluck.

I'm guessing like this, but with pistol gas?

It makes alot of sense to me. Light weight, Longer sight radius.

I also suggest talking to Aaron, he has answered every question i've had.

You might also think about using a clamp on FSB. CMMG makes one and the price is not prohibitive:

This the exact sort of set up we had in mind with our M300 barrel profile

You could have a pistol, carbine, mid-length, or rifle gas port and/or a carbine, mid-length or rifle FSB.
