How many do you think exist in the world?

There are a lot out there, I know a guy who builds rifles and let me call him tomorrow and see around how many he has built and I will report back. I know the police use them for animal control in some areas around me.

Probably the number is about what Noveske, Model-1 Sales, Olympic, Thompson Center, and SSK have sold combined times two.

I say 25k+

I just spoke with a guy who worked for one of the mfgrs named in that short list and he guesstimates they've made 5-10k barrels and guns over the years. M1S gets a lot of their bbls from Shaw and I'm pretty sure Shaw sells 300FB barrels direct as well. I've personally had hands on with 5-10 including the 2 I made for myself and the guy I borrowed the reamer from said he's loaned it out to at leat 20-30 other people over the past 10 years. He estimates that it has probably cut +/- 75 chambers since new. Of all the guns I've had hands on time with not one was a SSK and I'd assume they have made a significant number themselves.
