Just recieved this from Redding:
We have no immediate plans to make those dies. We can quote it as a Custom if you were to send a chamber reamer drawing, fired cases and /or a SAAMI spec sheet on the cartridge.

Re: Reloading dies
I got basically the same answer when I emailed Dillon. I think if we keep on bugging them, they will produce the dies. It's early on in the game, some companies are slow to move on anything that is new.

Re: Reloading dies
Redding already makes 300-221 dies. All they need to do is verify that they are in spec, and rename the dies in future production. But I don't care. As long as one good maker is offering dies that is fine with me. Today I sent Forster about 30 more fired cases to verify their dies.

Re: Reloading dies
Any way to determine if Redding dies meet the 300 BLACKOUT specs by checking a set of their dies. Would help those with Redding dies load for the 300 BLACKOUT.silencertalk wrote:Redding makes dies for Fireball, so they just need to verify the specs and rename it if it is in spec.

Re: Reloading dies
Redding will have to do that - and then like Noveske, relabel new dies and certify (or not) their old ones.
Re: Reloading dies
What do you suggest is the best approach to get this done?
It appears at this time that Redding is not interested in the 300 BLK.
I suspect that they will make the same statements that you made.
"We cannot guarantee that it will or won't work....."
Is a campaign of calls & E-mails what it will take to get Redding to do this, or would friendly communication from AAC be a better approach?

Re: Reloading dies
I already asked them, and they said not yet, maybe later. I asked Forster, and they said yes. So I did all I could.
