Re: Ammo?
When we get a 300 AAC BLACKOUT chamber print we will check it against our 300 FB print and be able to tell you if it will interchange.purdue_para151 wrote:I understand they aren't standardized, but lets say someone already has a Noveske 300 Fireball barrel. Can I shoot this stuff?

Re: Ammo?
I think as many as 35 barrel assemblies are available on Monday. Call and place an order. Don't be afraid to back order if sold out as the computer reorders parts based on back orders so first in the computer and first in line for next batch.
Yes, Forster dies. Call them. Again, get on a back order list. That is the only way a company knows how many to make.

Re: Ammo?
any plans to produce uppers with 10-10.5" barrels? like the idea of a midlength rail and only pics I've seen so far were CAR length KAC rails. Could care less what rail as long as its quailty.
Also....since hunting has been mentioned and all....what ammo offerings will be available in expanding ammo in BOTH sub and super sonic ammo? I would LOVE a subsonic 300 BLK with ammo that expands well at 1000 fps for deer season when hunting my tree stands, and a good/capable 300 BLK supersonic expanding bullet when I plan to hunt open fields and need a shot out to maybe 200-250 yards max. I know....I'm asking for too much! I have 5.56 to plink with, so I dont have as much use for FMJ sub/super sonic 300 BLK than some others. It would be a tactically optimized deer slayer for me.

I got a silencer for my wife.......I think it was a good trade!

I am eager to know this since I just received one of your 10.5" barrels a few weeks ago.

Re: Ammo?
So, to more reloading questions.
I've not seen a firm answer as to the parent case. So I'll ask this.....If I were reloading 300BLK on my Dillon 550....Should I buy the 300 Whisper shell plate/caliber conversion?
ETA: sorry for the nagging questions, I was going to buy a 338spectre before the news of the 300blk came out. So I'm having to switch gears midstream so to speak.

From left: 5.56X45, 300 AAC BLACKOUT, 7.62X39, 7.62X51
(fired case is 300 AAC BLACKOUT / 7.62X35)
Magpul PMAGs with 300 AAC BLACKOUT (top) and 5.56X45 (bottom).

Have you paid JD Jones? I'd hate to commit to something like this only to have ammo become non existent because of a suit....
This makes me tingle a little bit, if it can do 2300 fps with a Barnes 130 grain TTSX bullet you've got a decent deer punch out to 300.
