ATF Definition of "pistol."

Good morning, friends.

I have an AR Pistol with a 10 1/2 inch bbl. A friend texted me recently saying that the ATF redefined the term "pistol" as it refers to an AR pistol.

I cannot find any such redefining of the same anywhere in the news. Has anyone heard of or read of any redefining of an AR pistol. I recall a few years ago the ATF redefined the term "brace" and set the distance between the trigger and the rearmost edge of the brace at 13 1/2".

I set my brace distance at 12 1/2 inches just to be safe.
