Bravo 300

Post by JJE76 »

New to the form took the 300 plunge. Looking to see if I should change my buffer on my Bravo lower. Put the rifle together with the mk2 16” upper and the sub mod zero lower. It has the standard buffer. I’ll shot mostly super sonic. I’ve heard the h3 buffer might be the right choice looking for opinions. Thanks for any advice.

Shoot it first, and then you'll know. Buffers are cheap and not hard to find. Since your shooting supers chances are good you'll be alright.

Thanks anything in particular to look for to decide if the standard buffer is dialed? Also can I run standard lancer 556 mags or is better to use the 300 model?

For supers the standard Lancers run OK. I prefer the Lancer or Magpul 300's BO mags just so there's no mistake of you or somebody else feeding a mag full of 300's into a 5.56mm rifle.

It may go big bang and ruin your day.....

So if you run regular Lancer's for both 300 and 5.56 mark the 300's prominently.....

Put 100 rounds through it this weekend, buffer was perfect. Don’t see a reason to go with H3. Gun was fun dead on from 100 yards. Wished I could find ammo locally only issue.
