I’m gonna give this a shot. I have no idea what the minimum expansion velocity on this version of the Gold Dot is, but I’m using a 12.5” barrel, so I should get it there.

Good news (so far)

They size down very easily in a .309 Lee sizer die with some Hornady One Shot spray lube.

ive never tried the GD... but theres a selection of us who have - and still do - resize the hornady 123 sst .310 down and use them in the same fashion.

personally though, i'm a little leery on one shot for that... i'll stick with my lanolin for the extra greeezy effect it gives :)

Have you measured them after sizing? I've run the 123's mentioned by Plant through a .308 die and they spring back to .309".

Yeah, they’re .309

I really should get a 308 die

Do you size to .310 or .309?

Thanks

I run the Hornady 123 gr .310s through a .308 sizer...as previously mentioned, they spring back to .309.

No issues shooting them at that size? (I realize your bore isn’t my bore and reload at your own risk).

Thanks again

I resized tons of Berrys plated AK bullets for 308 use (with Alox). It was worth while because they were dirt cheap blems. I don't really see the point of resizing nice 311 projectiles, they are usually more expensive and harder to source than 308 version.

I can never find good bullets when it's time to reload a batch of 762x39.
