I can never find good bullets when it's time to reload a batch of 762x39.
Point taken...BUT I did buy my Hornady 123 gr "Zombie" V-max for $35/500 . I thought that put them in the "Dirt Cheap" realm?

Can’t find any 120-125 class .308 reasonably priced 300 AAC specific projectiles right now. Price wasn’t too bad either

I think Speer should produce some 300 AAC specific light weight (110-125) Gold Dots anyways, so I’m looking forward to trying these out.

The Speer 125gr TNTs were on sale for $65/500 earlier this year , they were also offering a nice rebate...brought the cost down to 12 cents each.

Yep, and I bought 1K (and then another 200 later), unfortunately I can’t find them anywhere now.

I’ve used the .223 75 gr gold dot (factory ammo) with good results on hogs and I want something similar for 300 AAC. I haven’t had a chance to take the 150 gr GD out to try it on hogs yet (thanks COVID!).

hell i was smiling buying them at 2x that price and resizing them..

and yea.. mine had springback to .3085-.309 range.... never had a lick of problem with them. one of my more accurate bullets tbh. that SST just likes being spun in a 7 twist at blackout speeds.

personally though, i'm a little leery on one shot for that... i'll stick with my lanolin for the extra greeezy effect it gives :)
Do you size to .310 or .309?

Thanks
sized in a .308 sizing die and springback got me .3085-.309 after the sizing. worked great at that diamater. great bullet. if i recall correctly 2.082 puts you just about in the cannelure. i leave my seating stem exactly the same as seating the 125 sst

I'm going to try them left .310 with mp-300.
I needed to turn the necks and seat them to 2.040 max col.

I like the 123 GD the most for my Ak-47.It loves them pushed hard with 1680.I had a .309 lee and polished it to .310 for using several different powder coated cast bullets in my blackouts.
I hope it will work so I can use the same bullet for both AK and AR.
