Some of the greatest threads ever created here

Lying here sick with a chest cold the last few days, I started looking at some old threads, some that made me reminiscence about what made this forum great. The information on this forum to some of the jokes we tell. Things that have been shared by folks, some still here and some long gone. Some in our infancy of 300 BLK reloading, This forum used to be hot, what you posted in the morning might be 3 pages back that evening. Anyway, a few of my all time greats here. These are in order of how I found them.

The great Maverick and moderator gds. Doing subs before anyone I know on deer. Used to find Gary on every forum, defending his choice of subsonic hunting -

Smus's first poke at me - without the pics you have to read the comments of other's. Been many since, all in good fun.

The post dellet started about dolomite's new innovative bullet. Dolomite's innovation is something to behold.

I'd like to mention other influential folks here from the past and now, talonxracer, L1A1rocker, whole bunches, tikkabak , wildfowler and even old grumpy, cantankerous Maryland Shooter for providing input that I personally learned from. Many others as well but my memory fails me. Read through these and learn guys. Lot's of work went into these posts ( except Smus's :) ).

Thanks rebel this will make for some good reading! I use the custom search engine (https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=017035176 ... tl9hapdoi0) you guys gave me years ago to dig deeper into this cartridge. Seems this little dandy is always teaching me something new to squeeze better preformance out of it.

Some whiskey neat will have you back to the shooting bench soon :P

Ahhhh. The memories. The growth of the cartridge we witnessed. The knowledge gained. The eye bleach needed!

Thanks for resurrecting these classic threads.

I said greatest, not most ironic. However, what you post is still very relevant. viewtopic.php?f=141&t=107855#p1001282

I’m not from Note Carlina, but I was wondering what rock you’ve been under. :P

The only reason this thread didn’t have threes times the action was timing and shame. Poor timing when you did it, and no one else wanted to be shamed because they couldn’t repeat it.

Here’s what happens when someone who knows how to shoot decides to stretch the legs of an inferior cartridge.

Well, I was hoping this thread would snag some of the drive by " what's your load " crowd and show some the history here. It ain't workin' to good but I tried. Guess I'll start posting the google search dohickey like everyone else. :|
