Buffer and spring on 300 BLK pistol

Post by Bordercop »

Hi everyone. I am new to the group. I am building a 300 BLK pistol with a 8" barrel. I have learned through research that 300 pistols may have cycling issues due to the short barrel. I have a 5.56 carbine buffer and spring. Will have to buy a heaver buffer and spring? If so what weights and where do I get one. Thank you all in advance.

two rules of thumb for 300 black out

carbine gas barrel = standard carbine spring, carbine buffer (what you have now)
pistol gas barrel = standard carbine spring, h2 buffer

so all you need to do is get a H2 or order a couple slugs and convert your carbine to a h2 by swapping 2 of them for tungston
