300AAC Blkout First Day!

After my first range trip today I am sorry I waited so long to try this round, I let the doubters and naysayers sway me!
I bought a PSA 7.5" upper and a PSA Pistol lower and added a Vortex I already had, loaded some ammo and headed to the range. I took one of the longer pistol bays where I could shoot out to 45 yards as this is well within my normal pig killing range.
It was awesome. Recoil was mild, I didn't feel any blast and it was very accurate. My old eyes don't see the dot plainly, it looks more like a winged Pegasus but I still was getting 2" groups from a makeshift rest and all the brass landed in one pile.
I had ammo I loaded with Hornady 125 SST, Speer TNT 125gr and Accura 120gr spitzer plated bullets. AR functioned perfectly through about 80 rounds and it was fun to shoot. I think it is going to be a great compact weapon for when I am walking the creeks, traveling on the ATV or climbing into a tree stand.
Trigger was not bad but not as nice as a couple of Elftmanns I have on other AR's but it is fine for now. Better trigger might tighten the group a hair but it is still pretty dang good.
I spent a lot of time reading on this forum and it was a big help. I think Georgia Pigs might be in for a hard time soon!
