Troy Claymore muzzle brake

Post by cjclemens »

Has anyone had any issues with accuracy from a Claymore muzzle brake? My 16" carbine had a Kak Flashcan on it, and it was extremely accurate in that configuration. Unfortunately, I didn't really like the looks of that chunk of aluminum hanging out there, so I went ahead and swapped it for a Troy Claymore. There was a significant POI shift, which wasn't really a surprise, but group size went from 3/4" to 2.5" after the switch. Is that normal, or is the Claymore just bad for accuracy?
