Binary Trigger

Post by Gman2017 »

Just installed the Franklin Binary trigger in my son-in-law's 300 blk sbr and man, I was surprised how fast you could unload a magazine. Needless to say...it was a lot of fun. Merry Christmas all!

I have 2 in 5.56 rifles. One of them being a PDW SBR. The shorty gets a lot of attention at the range.

I think the binary trigger fires faster than a FA., at least it sounds like it.

Since a full-auto fires as soon as the bolt locks up again, the above is not possible. Fun none the less, im sure

The binary fires twice per bolt travel, once when bolt is locked back and another when moving forward per trigger pull. If you pull the trigger fast it just sounds quicker. IMO

Uh, wrong.

It can only fire when the bolt is locked. The trigger releases the hammer when pulled and the trigger releases the hammer again when released. The bolt must be locked in order for the gun to fire.

When you pull the trigger it fires and cycles like normal but in binary mode it also fires when you release the trigger. Upon firing the bolt unlocks, extracts the spent case, ejects the spent case, resets the trigger, strips a new round, chambers a new round and then locks up. That happens each and every time the weapon fires and to fire in binary mode you pull the trigger to release the hammer and after it cycles you release the trigger to fire it again.

When those totally ignorant of firearms make laws, you end up with totally ignorant firearm laws.
