I am not a gunsmith, but I concur with modifying the cheapest part first. Easy to get a fresh mag; hard to fix a receiver or trunnion if you grind too far.

Mags are considered disposable items. Okay, combloc AK mags probably do last forever, but mags in general are consumables.

I agree......smith the cheapest part first, the only reason i debated on the receiver was so i didnt have to grind down every mag i buy, but i am going to just do the mags.
It might be a few weeks before i get to them with Family and Christmas coming up quick and working.........
Now that i say that ill probably wind up working on them in a couple days.....we will see.
