WithoutRemorse,

Your Barnes 110 TacTX numbers seem to vary from that foot pounds/barrel length chart that has been kicking around the internet for several years.

Specifically, from the chart, the 5” velocity was listed as 1701 versus the 1846 you got out of the 4.75” KAK!

That’s a pretty big difference. The 6” numbers also vary by about 75 FPS.

Yeah I noticed those discrepancies as well.

I figure there's two possibilities.
1. My chrono is off. I don't know anyone locally with a second chrono I can borrow to check against mine, but will keep looking.
2. The chart is off. Whether that's because Barnes has changed the load since then or if those numbers were extrapolations based off of multiple barrel lengths being chrono'd (but not all that were listed)

All I know is that comparing the 4 (so far) barrels I've tested, the data all makes sense when my barrels are compared to each other. IE 4.75" has slowed velocities than the 6", which is slower than the 6.5" etc. So if it IS a chrono issue on my end, it's off by a consistent FPS or a consistent %
