Dellet, which gas block are you using with your 7” x-caliber barrel?

A few SLR’s and a Syrac. The Syrac is ok, but has a more course adjustment. I probably only have one for a reason.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

WithoutRemorse, Great write up and photos. Thanks for posting the link.

I may have an additional consideration you didn’t mention. In the interim, while I was waiting to do my own build, I put together a CMMG Banshee 22LR clone. The hand guard and overall barrel lengths are similar to these ultra short Blackout builds.

My opinion (based on my Banshee clone experience) is that these short hand guards without some type of hand stop, are kind of dangerous. If you’re used to or familiar with a certain length of hand guard, it’s unbelievably easy to slide your hand in front of the muzzle. In fact, I sort of felt like Ralphie from the Christmas Story, only everyone would be saying “you’ll shoot your fingers off” instead of “eye out.”

Just my observation, but it sure is hard to lose the habit of a longer hand guard, and maybe not hard at all to shoot your fingers off.

I absolutely will be adding a prominent hand stop to my Banshee clone!

Handstops are really nice!

Also, KAK 6.25" and 4.75" both coming. Need ammo! work stash and personal stash draining quickly

i put an AFG on my pistol for kinda the same reason. by putting something on there of that nature - it "forces" my hand to go to it. its just a mental game, but i agree, it helps when you're used to 12-15" handguards and have a pistol with something half that or less!

Two barrels from KAK are in, doing some dremel ninja work with extra ALG handguards I had around. Ammo from Ammo inc is in, some Federal subs incoming and a couple boxes of Discreet Ballistics.
