Which one? Speer lists 2 150 gr GD.
I've had good luck with Shooters World Blackout (Lovex D-063.2) My current load is 2170 from a 16". Still working up an 11.5"; looks like it's going to be over 2050 fps. Both of those are with a suppressor which adds ~30 fps.hogcaller wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 9:49 am Threw together some loads yesterday using formed Winchester brass, CCI Sm Rifle primers, and win296 powder. All were seated to 2.175". Used AR15 16" barrel and shot at 50 yards.
17.3 gr Win296 averaged 1950 fps, 28 SD, .7" at 50 yards
17.8 gr Win296 averaged 1980 fps, 11 SD, .9" at 50 yards
While the groups were ok, I think I'd like to get more velocity. Any suggestions? I used Win296 because it was really all I had on hand and it's been great for 110-125 gr bullets. Wanting to get a good load and test it out on some pigs.
How much SW are you using?bangbangping wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 5:18 pm I've had good luck with Shooters World Blackout (Lovex D-063.2) My current load is 2170 from a 16". Still working up an 11.5"; looks like it's going to be over 2050 fps. Both of those are with a suppressor which adds ~30 fps.
I'd rather not say. I don't want anyone to do something stupid, like use my load data. (Actually, it's 22.4 grains. But please do your own workup.)NeverBlue wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 5:37 pmHow much SW are you using?bangbangping wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 5:18 pm I've had good luck with Shooters World Blackout (Lovex D-063.2) My current load is 2170 from a 16". Don't be afraid to move the bullet out and add powder, but take it slow and small. You can push 296 hard, but hen it hits max, it comes on fast and high. Cratered primer to blown primer in .2 grains or less.hogcaller wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 9:49 am Threw together some loads yesterday using formed Winchester brass, CCI Sm Rifle primers, and win296 powder.
