What was the distance shooting into the gel and windshield? I didn’t see it listed above.

Im still working on getting some gel, otherwise i would just do it myself.

I didnt expect this much info this soon about the round , Awesome job guys !
With a muzzle velocity of 1066, at 300 yds. velocity is 940 fps. (using Strelock free version)

impact at 935 fps.
in bare gel.

It obviously tumbled, which I'm not sure is a bad thing. At the end of the day, I don't want to get shot with one
This was the 1065 fps.

Or <50 yards in an 8" barrel

It would be good to know actual velocity loss in an 8" barrel and what the bullet does down to about 850 fps.

For loading as a component it does not matter. But for guys buying off the shelf, having muzzle velocity be the low end of functioning speeds will be a problem.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

At 826 fps, it didn't expand. Penciled through 18" of gel, into a hard rubber wheel chock.

Maybe posted in the other thread, or I missed it here. Could be my reading skills.

Did you down load or was that shot from a short barrel?

Hornady is no help. Their tables show the same velocity for all barrel lengths with the same ammo. Would love to know what powder they used to accomplish that

At least you didn't do a sidewall test on the tire the chock was holding
