Hello, New Here.

Post by ATIII »

Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Tony. Starting my first 300 build, and am here to learn. I've done a few AR's now, so I'm not a total noob, but am to this round.

I've got most of my parts together. Just got to send it off to Cerikote before I start assembly. I do have a barrel question. I believe my barrel is drilled with a .074" gas hole. It's a 7.5" barrel that I don't plan on suppressing. Basically building a little fire breathing, loud AF range toy. Now can/should I drill the barrel's gas port out to say .1, and use an Odin adjustable GB to dial it in perfectly? Ive read all kinds of crap about 7.5's not wanting to run right, so I figured this might alleviate some problems from jump. I'm also planning on running an H2 or T2 buffer.
