Re: 7 years later, it's finally happening = my rifle range project
Since my grinder spits the chips outward instead of pulling them under the machine (which is actually a better design, but I didn't know that when I built it), there is no concentration of anything. Chips get flung up into the wind if there is any, and sent 20-60 feet from the force of the cutting a...

Re: 7 years later, it's finally happening = my rifle range project
Oak stumps don't burn for crap when they've been dead and dried for a few years. These trees will do their darnedest to regrow as soon as the ground hits 60F this spring. All the tops (slash) is being removed as part of the logging. I get $5/ton for that stuff. Actually, it could end up exceed...

Re: 7 years later, it's finally happening = my rifle range project
I'm zoned Ag, so I can pretty much do whatever the hell I want within reason. The neighbors whined to the county when they heard I intended to build a rifle range, but on paper (per my sustainable forestry management plan) it's a "wildlife clearing" and there isn't a damn thing they can do...

Re: Battle-Bar reviews?
Mega ambi lower. Sure, it costs more than an Anderson or PSA lower plus the BAD or even the Battle-bar, but they're machined to perfection and that's worth something to me. And there's nothing extra on the side of the rifle or in the trigger guard where it doesn't belong.

7 years later, it's finally happening = my rifle range project
We closed on this land in May of 2011, and were under contract at this point in the year back then just waiting for the hunting lease to expire. I already had plans for this when we made the first offer, but you never really know what you're going to get on the ground when you're basing your whole o...

Still waiting for that golden goose, but I sure would like to make the rounds to meet folks I've known for years and never seen.

<snip> They move to a place with low taxes etc, then start changing it to be like the crap place they came from, I just don't get it . Kind of like the Somali's here. I've known some good Somali's over the years (hell, I have a former one via Australia then the US, across the street now who's good ...

300 BLK will be released first and they are developing specialty ammo to stabilize the 0:0 twist. Best of luck to them. Must be working on rifled bullets. More like mini nerf bullets http://2ht1mik98ka4dogie28vqc4y.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/article_2000_2018012306353...
