Re: Neck Reamer?

I have to apologize as I should know not to "post when your toast". I had neck surgery Thursday and am under medication, so disregard any load data I may post.... If I misunderstood your post Condor, I again apologize. I thought you were talking about the necks being too thick after ...

Re: Neck Reamer?

The best way to save time is to use only brass that is on the "good" brass list. It is the "sticky" at the top of the Handloading section. I have not a reamer and don't anticipate getting one. In converting 223/556 brass down to 300BO I sort it as to whether it is on the good lis...

Re: Help with bullet weight and uses.

I would buy some 125gr Speer TnT's and some W296/H110 or even some Alliant MP-300 powder and load away. The TnT is relatively inexpensive and accurate. It will handle home defense/and about any game up to whitetail size. I have the same length/twist barrel and that projectile to me can't be beat. Th...

Re: Please allow me to introduce myself

Welcome aboard and don't be a stranger! Seems with the heat of the summer or the china virus people are shooting less. Hopefully, it will pick up in the next couple of months!

Shoot safe and have fun!

Re: Sierra 30 cal 150 gr Varminter Bullet

Might make a good deer bullet. The 150 Gold Dot seems to be hard to find. The velocity that it needs to expand might be a little high for the 300BO. The Sierra 125gr prohunter won't expand at 300BO velocities....at least not in my crude experiments. Hopefully, the Gold Dot will be on the shelves in...

Re: Intermittent Pressure Signs

Thanks for the feedback! You are welcome! I also want to welcome you to the forum! There is a world of information about the 300BO. I mainly focus on reloading as that is what I enjoy most besides shooting! It may be a little slow around here during the heat of summer, but when the temps fade the b...

Re: Intermittent Pressure Signs

I would not be concerned enough to stop shooting them and throw them in the river. Think about the operation of a AR15, how the bolt turns as it unlocks and starts moving backward in recoil. I have ejector swipes from factory ammo and just keep on churning. If you find a case that is hard to fit in ...

Re: Berry's plated 150 gr bullet

For accurate cheaper projectiles that even perform well on deer in 300 BO, look at the Speer 125gr Tnt. Usually priced the best when you buy the 500 packs...although you may have to search for them. They are worth it, imho.

Re: Berry's plated 150 gr bullet

While we are talking about Berry's plated bullets, what about the 30 Carbine 110 gr? Will it work? I have loaded and shot 110gr fmj's from other manufacture's because it was all I could get at the time. Never loaded the Berry 110gr and the first question I would ask you is, Why? They are suggested ...
