do you reload ? if so then just load your 8.5 inch to the velocity the optic is calibrated for . a 220 grain bullet going over a chrony 1020 fps dont really know if its fired out of an 8.5 inch barrel or a 16 inch barrel . thats just my personal experience .

some information on just what type of bullet they loaded would be a good start . I am not much of a plinker so my opinion may be a it on the jaded side .
I prefer to load a bullet I can use to put meat on the table .

lol that just sounds wrong . I have alot of work to do before I get real deep into it . I did run some 300 grain remingtons through it and of course my scope base was loose even though I did use blue lock tite . I guess I will clean the threads real good and try again.
