Re: H110 ES very high?

Were the numbers all over the place, or more of a progression from slow to fast?

You might try a different primer, I do not remember if the Federal primer is a magnum primer. If it not, I would start there. You will need to work back up.

Re: Announcing - the new 300 BLK UMC - 120 grain.

I was not able to check out. Maybe call or email and ask them to get it in stock. The UPS shipping was not bad. $13 for two cases. They may have flat rate shipping, I got the same quote for one box of something they had in stock. Here is another possibility that looks like it would require a call; ...

Re: Announcing - the new 300 BLK UMC - 120 grain.

So it is listed by dealers. No one did a search before? How about everyone place an order from here: http://www.cromwellsfirearms.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=94872 You have to think from a dealer's mentality. If no one is ordering it, why would they order it in when they have...

Re: Sub loads for carbine gas port 16" HELP !!!

Got it!!! I moved out my COAL to 2.255 and tried to loadings of h4198 at 10.5 and 10.3. With the can, I am getting 1009 to 977fps with the 10.5 and approx 950 fps on avg with the 10.3. What I have learned, increasing the COAL and adding more powder did not really decrease my speed but does give mor...

Re: Length of case neck, minimum acceptable

I am not aware of a reason worry about neck length in this application, unless you are way over max case length of 1.368 or your bullets do not have enough neck to hold them in. The cartridge headspaces off the shoulder, so what will keep them from chambering, or the firing pin from striking would b...

It was my understanding that the whole reason for carrying is to make the situation more dangerous. For them 8)

Re: DIY tools for seating depth & case capacity

For the coal round, do I just barely seat the projo in, chamber it (handi rifle) and then measure? I presume I could then have the measurement that would be touching the lands. I could then back out and test where the sweet spot is? I can't find a hornidy modified case for the 300 blackout. This lo...

Re: Transporting NFA Stuff

So pertinent part of the law reads... No person shall transport any destructive device, machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle in interstate or foreign commerce ... You probably know where I'm going with this. So my questions: Is interstate commerce always assumed? H...

Re: Why 300 BLK? This is why.

I'll measure what's left this weekend. I was intrigued to see the brass loaded with SST's looked great and the 125 SMK brass pierced primers at a full half grain LESS powder. Obviously more bullet in the case causing higher pressure. Not to be a dick about it, but you should know both measurements ...
