Re: Barnes 110 grain TAC-TX OOS
The only rifle that I was able to get any decent accuracy from with the Barnes SBR bullet was the 762x40, it just doesn't like that long throat. Best groups I got with either my Encore or AR in 300blk was a 4" group, my deep throated 30RAR Encore didn't like them either. Guess I will have to s...

Re: Barnes 110 grain TAC-TX in stock
Thanks for the heads up!,
So, the blue tip TX is not good for 300 BLK velocity?
Would you use the SBR 110 TAC-X or the blue tip 110 TAC-TX?
I see that the blue tip looks longer than the SBR non tipped with two bands?
Thanks,
JAGG

Re: Barnes 110 grain TAC-TX
Picture shows blue tip but they are black tipped according to the Barnes #30358 and their description.

Re: Question: Barnes 110 gr TAC-TX (Black Tip) in .308 Cartr
I think I remeber the Man stating it fragments above 2500 fps. I thought he said 2300fps but hey, it's the web, so who knows. Since most 16" MV is going to max out right about the 2300fps mark. I don't know why the would engineer it to frag at 2500fps. What length barrel/powder combo...

Re: Barnes 110 grain TAC-TX in stock
Looks like they are sold out now, hope you all bought some.
They do have the non tipped 110 grain Barnes in stock.
These might not expand at the same rate as the tipped ones but most of my hunting is at one hundred and fifty yards or less so I think I will be OK.
