Welcome to the addiction! The folks here will help you get the cycling issue fixed. I built my 16" all from parts I purchased off of ebay and it cycles just fine, although I've only fed it 147 and 150 gr rounds. I'm waiting on my can before I try the subs I've got for it.

You know what I dont see in any of these photos? Etched dust cover. BAM! I have 4 x AR uppers (6.5 Grendel, 300 AAC, 5.56 and .22) and I recently did just this. Now they all have dust covers etched on both sides identifying their caliber. Small price to pay for a little safety insurance and it look...
