I have used them in 308/30-06 at higher velocities for about a half doz deer with good results. The bullets definitely do expand and act like any other hunting bullet.
The data in the manuals was proven safe in the test firearm under the test conditions... NT your gun. As stated most cut back to be safe and avoid lawsuits...
Start as suggested (-10%) and work up your load slowly, watching for pressure signs, stop when accuracy drops off or pressure signs show.
I have a set of Redding dies, and the instructions say that you will damage the seater if you use it with compressed loads. I've never had issues with the Redding or RCBS with those bullets, but then I've never tried compressed loads. What powder are you using? Some compress better than others. CW

My original question must have been misunderstood . I will load them with the neck fully holding projectile but without the base protruding below the shoulder. I. Would load it to 2.31+ but there wouldn't be much in the neck. I'm looking at 2.27-2.28. What I am asking is if anyone has a load above ...
