Re: Need advice on 16” 300 BLK barrels

If you are serious about reloading, you can really get phenomial results with 300 Blackout. Most people actually use pistol powder instead of rifle powder. 110 to 150 grain bullets for supers and 220-260 gr for subs. There are 18" barrels available for supers. As short as 8 inch for SBRs with a...

Re: 300 BLK SBR for HD rifle

Does the ejector port door have a decal on it or did you print it? If a decal, where from?

Re: First Reloading Press Recommendations

For volume, a Dillon 550 or 650 is where its at. I started out reloading with a 550b and 9mm. Learned the basics with that. My dad still uses it. I have had 2 Super 1050's, but now am back down to a single 650 with case and bullet feeder. 9mm, 45acp, 223 plinking ammo, 300blk. For precision, Forste...

Re: How to tell if bullet setback??

Crimping plated bullets is not good. If you can see the crimp and it leaves a ring, its too much. All you need to do is remove any expansion from the case mouth. I've never seen a plated hornady bullet. My mistake. A jacketed Hornady bullet pulldown from a gunshow cheap. Or were suppose to be. Coul...

How to tell if bullet setback??

I have a 9 mm AR 15 SBR 8" barrel conversion, recoil operated. While testing out a new load, I had a bullet end up to much in the case and a failure to feed. This was number 18 of 20 test loads. 115 gr X-treme HP, 4.4 gr Bullseye loaded to OAL of 1.090. After FTF issue was 0.981 OAL. Pulled bul...

Re: First Reloading Press Recommendations

I did it the hard way. Bought a Dillon 550B on the recommendation of a competitive shooter. I was a bit overwhelmed getting started. Thankfully it was during the winter when I had plenty of time on my hands. It worked out well and Dillon's warranty is hard to beat. They didn't have 300 Black dies at...

Re: Can't get my brass clean

All good ideas. I've wanted a wet tumbling setup for a while, so maybe it's time to start thinking more seriously about one. In the meantime, I'm try some of the tricks with the regular stuff and see what happens. Double J, Love the signature line. I'm with you on poor grammar, and you can throw in...

Re: Can I Add A Buddy ?

Yes. I am no expert on the legalities but before Trump the previous administration said they were closing a loophole. Now your buddy needs to submit fingerprint cards to ATF to get put on your Trust. Legislation was called "41F". Not true. You can add as many as you want to the trust at a...
