Re: Issue with forming 300 BLK from 223
As long as the die goes all the way down, then the press should not be an issue. When I formed cases with my Lee dies and Lee Turret press, I had to take a bit off the shell holder and size-turn-size in order to get them to get a pass on the Sheridan slotted gauge. Once I got some Hornady dies and a...

Re: Poaching
Maybe it's like what happened here a while back. There was a pile of carcases, some decapitated some missing just the back straps etc, turned out there was a hunt club nearby that used the spot to dispose of their left overs. The decapitated ones, and partial harvested were either road kill or wound...

Re: Gauges - Slotted vs. Non
This is an old thread, but I did not see anyone talking the cons of slotted gauge. You need to gauge the round twice when using a slotted gauge. Because of the slot there may be a case goof somewhere in the area that is in the slot area, etc. That would only happen if your sizing die has a defect, ...

Re: How do you call predators?
I went cheap, I built one out of instructions online with parts from radio shack. I haven't really been hunting them seriously yet, I've "talked" to a few but none have come out in daylight, and we can't hunt them at night. I purchased one of those cat toys, a ball with a tail, which I pla...

Re: Factory bulk ammo w/reloadable brass?
Maybe it's because I convert all mine from LC brass but I haven't looked into this. Wouldn't any factory brass case be good to reload seeing as it is already a 300Blk? Are there some factory cases out there that are sub-par?

Re: RCBS small Base Die - worth it or not?
I'm not into the small base dies, they just work the brass too much. I used to get a bunch of cases stuck, usually with the Lee dies but once also with my Hornady dies. One think I noticed was that the RCBS shell holder was much tighter than the other two, Lee and Hornady, after switching I haven't ...

Re: STICKY - Good/Bad brass list converting 5.56->300blk
Thank you for this useful topic! Unfortunately, I did not find this information on time, and I processed more than one hundred GECO cartridges. They turned out to be unsuitable for working with a .308 diameter bullet. Stupid job :) Most of the listed "good" brass can not be found in Ukrai...

Re: Can we get in line for some ammo
Just bought a Pardini SP New in.22lr and wanted to know what has been working reliably for others.. Any ammo deals out there?? Should have started a new thread, this was from, what 2013? In any case, 22lr is available most anywhere with a bunch of sales, though not as cheap as they used to be. But ...

Re: "Aw Geez" Painting the sbr
I don't know, except for the green parts, it looks like a decent setup. Kind of a snow camo look, which I recall someone doing a while ago.
