Re: Reloading 300BO with Odd Powders?
IMR 4198 is a decent powder for subs when you need to cycle an AR. It is both quieter and cleaner than 1680. Assuming a 200 grain bullet subsonic, I'd probably start around 10.5 grains and work down.

Speer 130 Varmint #2005 FTW
Didn't stockpile enough Gold Dots for the long drought, so trying something new (for me) this year. The Speer 130 looked decent through gel ( https://www.300blktalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1010136 ) so I loaded up some for a hunting trip. After trying several variations, SOCOM powder with Rem 7 1/...

Yeah, not a fan of the modified case sizing. I bought a 5/16 X 36 tap and make my own cases.

Re: Hodgdon Lil´Gun and H110 for Subsonic
I don't understand the desire to use one powder for two completely different loads. What's wrong with having two cans of powder? Neither 110 nor Lil'Gun are the ideal powders for subs. I'd stick with 110 for supers, skip the Lil'Gun, and get something more appropriate for subs. The loading section o...

Re: Bolt Action Subsonics and Tinstar/N32C
I like it for light and medium weight subs, and have consistently seen lower ES numbers with Tin Star than with Trailboss. As a side note, due to its potential for high pressure, I use it with heavy bullets to blow out cases with short shoulders. A little bit goes a long way. It is possible to max o...

Rock River, maybe? If so, they're pretty nice for the price. If you want an upgrade from stock but you're not feeling a Timney or Giessele, definitely yes.

Curious why you want a pointed bullet instead of a hollow point.

Re: 200gr maker rex expanding blackout with imr 4227
Welcome. No idea what your reloading experience is so don't be offended by the advice. Couple of things... 1. The limited capacity of the 300 BLK case means you have to be extremely careful in translating loads from one bullet to another. The amount of bullet in the case is what matters, not necessa...
