If I were stuck with non-expanding ammo then I'd go 45acp all day every day with a 230gr Flat Nose bullet. As long as I can get hollow point bullets to handload I'll go with the 9x19mm because I like having the extra rounds on tap.

If this test is accurate,which seems reasonable ,the the .45 is almost twice as good as the 9.
