Re: 300 BLACKOUT scope poll

The Horus scopes have a one major flaw.
They only carry a one year warranty and their customer service is said to be non existent.

FWIW,
The Horus scopes are rumored to be made by the same company that makes the Nikon rifle scopes.

Re: 300 BLACKOUT scope poll

You also could just use a Horus reticle. I think that I might be sold on the Horus Blackbird 1.5-8x24 Illuminated http://www.horusvision.com/img/pr_3_blackbird.jpg http://www.horusvision.com/img/ret_h58_specs.gif All that and priced at $960, that is a tough to beat. My initial choice was the Leupol...

Re: Noveske 300 AAC BLACKOUT

I figured as much, but I wanted to confirm before I ordered the host reciever.

Thanks!

P.S.
Any rough W.A.G. of when your barrels might be available?

Re: Questions on lower choice for 300 BLACKOUT

FWIW,

Orion Arms has done my engraving in the past and their work is top notch.

It is also acceptable to use "A recognized abreviation" of your name or the name of your trust.

Re: Noveske 300 AAC BLACKOUT

What type of feed ramps will the 10" barrels have on their barrel extensions? (M4 or Std)

Thanks for posting up such thorough test data.
Out of curiosity, why are a bunch of the test cards post dated 30October2010?

Re: Red Dot Sight/Compact Optic for 300 BLACKOUT PDW

The complaint about the glow is real, and the cover is one of those half-assed solutions, but the real issue is that in the environments where it would be used you really need the battery, and IIRC the battery life is hideously low, and if you're just going to run the battery why not use an Aimpoin...

Re: Red Dot Sight/Compact Optic for 300 BLACKOUT PDW

The main reason that they get dinged is because of the fiber doughnut on top. At night, it glows like you wouldn't believe. (Looks like a beacon that screams "SHOOT HERE" when seen by NVGs.) In response to this, the latest generation Trijicon Tri-Powers come with a cover that fits tightly ...

Re: 300 BLK Accuracy Potential

Did you happen to test the 220 SMK load? Thanks for posting the test results. I was hoping that was the case. Having the 9" as a PDW platform only would be a waste. My build is going to be whatever Noveske puts out as their SBR length barrel coupled with the PRI Full Length Forearm & ARMS 3...

300 BLK Accuracy Potential

Since it has been stated that the most efficent barrel length for a 300 BLK (SS) is 9", what is the accuracy potential for the 300 BLK in this barrel length? What was the best accuracy that you have encountered out of a short barrel in either 300 BLK, 300 / 221 Fireball, or "300 Whisper(R)...
