Re: 300 AAC BLACKOUT Picture Thread

Thanks L1A1Rocker. I've been thinking once you have the 9" barrel, and the brake or flash hider you are going to need a pretty long rail to make it look right. It might be too heavy and defeat the purpose of a short upper. I'm thinking it would need to cover at least a 1/3 of the can to look r...

I see our 9 inch upper replacing the MP5-SD, the MP7, and the 10 inch HK-416.

Re: 300 BLACKOUT scope poll

I think the great divide is the purpose that one selects the 300 BLK. My build was underway as a 300/221 project prior to the release of the 300 BLK. The primary goal of that was to be a full time suppressed platform that could produce MOA accurate fire at ranges out to at least 300 yards. With hand...

Re: 300 BLACKOUT scope poll

I've never had that plan pan out well. It's like buying one hammer handle and thinking you're going to change out heads depending on what needs whacking. It just doesn't work out. Specific tools for specific jobs IMHO. But I also find that people can do a lot more with a lot less if they actually g...

Re: 300 BLACKOUT scope poll

My thinking is to have multiple configurations for different roles. (That is also my approach to a 5.56 platform as well.) Some would argue that the configuration should always be the same for the purpose of consistency. For me, that has never been a problem. My intention for my 300 BLK Upper is to ...

When will they be available for purchase and at what price point?

Re: 300 BLACKOUT scope poll

Robert,

Since you have been discussing things with Leupold, what are the odds of Leupold producing an M3 knob for the 300 BLK?

Re: Forster 300 AAC BLACKOUT dies

Ordered my dies this week.
They told me that they anticipate them to ship in 4 to 6 weeks. :(

Oh well, that should give me plenty to time to prep some 5.56 brass to use as a host...
