Barnes 110g TAC-X FB non black tip load
My dad was picking up stuff for loading the 300blk and he picked up 2 boxes of the Barnes 110g TAC-X FB non black tip(these have no tip at all), part number is 30821. Wanting to load these up(I know they are not ideal for the 300blk, like the black tip stuff is. I cant find any loads for these. The ...

Re: 223 Sabot in 300BLK Anyone tried it?
The 110g Barnes black tips(designed for the 300 blackout) will expand down to around 1800fps according to Barnes. I dont have a ballistics calculator to see what they would be doing out at say 200-300 yards to see if they would still reliably expand. I have not heard to good of things of the VMax si...

Re: 223 Sabot in 300BLK Anyone tried it?
Maybe I dont understand, but what purpose would this have over just shooting a 5.56 AR15? Re-read the first post in the thread for the answer. I re-read it and see where you touched on it, but overall energy out of a 2400fps 110g is almost always going to be higher than a 55g(hell even a 75g) movin...

Re: do I need a gunsmith?
If you torque the barrel nut to spec and have an spec barrel and extension, its pretty hard to screw up head spacing in the AR's. But you can buy the go/no go gauges to check it yourself for fairly cheap. My thing with uppers though is that IMO, you dont save to much money and there are so many vari...

1 check will cover all The address on the F1 is correct, you send it to the WV address. Deliver confirmation works or fedex if you can I dont use a Trust, but from what I gather, yes a notorized copy needs to go. This needs to include everything including your various sections stating what is in the...

Re: Beating the horse, short stroke
Yea you have a lot of things that happen on break in. I am sure this not a complete list but I will try: -buffer spring wears a little from cyclic fatigue(the only real way a spring fatigues because springs dont "take a set") -buffer wears with the receiver extension slightly causing it to...

Re: Beating the horse, short stroke
Run some supers through it and see what it does. Also need to check gas port sizing.
I plan to break in my AAC 9" upper with a couple hundred supers before trying to run any subs through it. I can already tell after 100 rounds the other day of Remington UMC that it cycles much smoother.

Re: Beating the horse, short stroke
cmmg puts notches in the bottom for the set screws so the block is right Means nothing. What if the "notches" are put in the wrong place? If your gas block truly is aligned correctly than you need to work with your load. How many rounds through the upper? Any supersonic ammo through it? I...
