Re: Brass check for pressure signs please
Calipit: didnt mean to send this via pm if you got one. Dont know how I pulled that off. Where are you seeing this "official" published data? I couldnt find any for the 150g in 300blk so I was going on what people were posting. I know I saw a thread where a guy was pulling apart SW Ammo's ...

Re: WTK: Are AAC 1/7 twist uppers shipping?
I bought a 1/7 9" upper at the end of July. I have no clue when the dealer I bought it from got it in though, but they are out there for sure. If you arent happy with it, or it doesnt meet the description of Midway than return it and wait to get a new one. Or as long as you arent going to shoot...

Re: Brass check for pressure signs please
Im new to 300blk, but not new to reloading. I did a bunch of research on making these rounds and I saw the 2.020 number a bunch of times(I was really closer to 2.030 or 2.035 with most of the rounds) along with these powder loads. I also double checked the 2.020 number by measuring the ogive(where t...

Re: Brass check for pressure signs please
I have reloaded 10s of thousands of rounds, but this is my first foray into 300blk. The loads I ran where the area where I saw a lot of guys running since there really are no "official" published loads for the 150g FMJ. Some guys reported pressure signs, some reported none. SW Ammo was loa...

Re: Brass check for pressure signs please
Was brought up on another forum: All powder was measured on a digital scale via a hand trickler. The scale was zero'd in between each case. I then took each load and checked it on my Dillon beam scale. These were as accurate as I could get them. Thinking I am going to join the Lil-Gun club as most p...

Brass check for pressure signs please
Just shot my first reloads in the 300blk. Hoping you guys can take a peak at my brass and let me know if you see any pressure signs. Had a few blown primers, but I am half leaning towards the primer pockets being too loose as it wasnt happening consistently. They didnt feel any different and didnt l...

Re: Barnes 110g TAC-X FB non black tip load
So nobody has loaded this specific bullet? I guess I will seat it so that the ogive is just at the rib in the mag and hopefully get them long enough to function. Im going to use H110 so I will use the 110g VMax powder data. I am guessing with the design of these I need to seat deep enough so that bo...

Re: 223 Sabot in 300BLK Anyone tried it?
I look at the expansion petals of the black tip and see a pistol round on steroids. The wound mechanism is crush trail (not temp wound cavity and axial explosive fragmentation). I guess the engineers figure you can't make a slow projectile act like a fast one. As far as I know EVERY Barnes bullet(f...

Re: 223 Sabot in 300BLK Anyone tried it?
My 110 V-max load is leaving the muzzle around 2350FPS from a 16" bbl. Using Point Blank's software, it drops below 1800FPS at just past 200yds. I would guess the 110 Barnes to be pretty close as well. Punchline is that the 110's may expand at 1800FPS, but that means they are probably going to...
