Re: Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 1.5-5x20mm

Mines the lighted reticle 5.56 model and I use it on a 5.56 AR15. With both eyes open, I can use the lit crosshairs like a red dot transposing the reticle on the target for close in. For distance I like the 5x, helps a lot with identifying your target. Really, I can't think of anything that's not to...

Re: Rem 700 in 300 BLK setup

I had the 308 R700 SPS-T and it would easily shoot sub moa with the cheapie Hogue on it. When I went to a HSP, it went sub .5 moa. I never shoot my R700AAC-SD with the Hogue as I had the HSP LTR laying around. As to swapping stocks, the worst part is getting the floor plate and internal box magazine...

Re: Lower recommendations

Nothing wrong with a psa lower, I sbr'd one! LOL Makes for a great battle rifle. That said, I prefer Spikes as their finish is a tad better. If I do another sbr, it'll be a spikes.

Re: Troy PAR pump action?

Well, I took the plunge. Going to order a Ballistic Advantage 16" barrel for it in the morning. Next will come mp furniture(probably already have it all) then on to selecting a trigger. Think I'm going with a Leupold vx3 3.5-10 scope that a local shop has. Hope it shoots, LOL!

Re: SBR build off to a rocky start, getting a receiver

Cool, now the wait. But getting your receiver engraved and then assembling it will kill some time. Make sure you post back with pix, we always like to see others builds.

Re: How to attach a suppressor to reach 16' and avoid sbr stamp.

A Silencerco Octane would work but you'd have to weld the direct thread mount to to outer tube. Then you could "pin & weld" the assembly to the barrel. It's only rated for 300BLK subs though.

Re: Troy PAR pump action?

I'm only interested in the optics ready model. I've been confused. Some places say it's a 1-8" while others say 1-7" twist. That said, the muzzle threads put an end to the twist question as they just make the barrel completely unusable to me. That answers the questions I had, that troy has...
