Re: Lee Trim Tool?

No worries... Since your the one making my barrel, I wasn't going to doubt you. It sounds like trimmer will be pretty close to being the correct trim length. I'll cut a couple test cases and if they don't meet the min / max, I'll contact Lee to get one made. I'm pretty much maried to Lee as a...

Re: Lee Trim Tool?

If the trimmer is for a 30-221 Fireball, wouldn't it have a .30 cal rod? (LEE PN:90040F)
There is a separate trimmer for the 221 Fireball. (LEE PN:90112) :?:

Re: LMT Enhanced BCG Compatibility

Thanks for the update.
I suspect that my barrel will be arriving any day now and I am hoping to have a new BCG before then.
(If not, I'll just use the LMT-E BCG that I have to function test and modify my aproach as needed.)

Re: Forster die

Is Redding going to offer dies? The vast majority of precision shooters use the redding comp die sets. I really hope they come out with this caliber. That way we could use the carbide expander which is far superior than any other expander ball. CJG Check out these threads: http://www.silencertalk.c...

Re: Lee Trim Tool?

221 FB is too long, also the design of the Lee trimmer keeps the case square with the 22 cal rod through a 22 cal case neck. A 30 cal case neck on there would not really stay square. "Standard" wildcatting generally uses the same dimensions for the case so some 300-221 chambers are cut lo...

Re: Barrel choice and a few other questions

First off, who all has 300 Blackout barrels in stock, I know Black Hole Weaponry but does anyone else have any yet? I am looking for a 16" barrel to do my build with. Second, I just want to make sure. From my reading it seems that the only change between a .223 rifle is the barrel, is that cor...

Re: Converting 556/223 brass?

I'm using 10 round stripper clips and a ban saw. Put the empties in the clips, setup a guide on the ban saw and have at it. I cut them just bellow the shoulder, run it through the FL die and then trim. Since brass and loaded ammo are vaporware at the moment, using 5.56 brass is the only logical way ...
