The store I work at in southern Michigan is getting steady shipments of FMJ pistol ammo sourced from a local remanufacturer. Blackout ammo is also readily available to us in 147 gr FMJ loads and these seem to group better than the Remington OTM ammo we also sell.. I got some Barnes TTSX from Cabelas...

I'm lucky. My deer eat the clover, chicory, alfalfa and apples on my property. They taste great! Also, my processor makes corned venison that is to die for; just like corned beef, just leaner. Damn, I gotta shoot a deer pretty soon, I'm out of everything except burger. Well at least you have someth...

I did. I hate hurting a dog I'm with you on that. I had to shoot one at work and felt terrible. I would have rather shot the butthead who owned it and turned it out on me. You had no choice though. You tried less-lethal avenues to resolve the situation and it came down to no other option. Heal fast.

Congrats on the first buck. It is a good thing. Marinate the steaks in cider or teriyaki sauce, or just go as is, roll them in a coating such as Zatarain's, then flash fry them in a pan with olive oil of bacon fat.
