Re: Can't get my brass clean
For shiney brass, wet tumbling is 100% better. As far as shooting, I don't think getting that new, shiney look matters that much. I do use a Thumbler with ss pins. Half full water, teaspoon or so Dawn dish soap, about a 22 case full of Lemishine, tumble for about 90 minutes. Brass is clean and shine...

AR15 with short barrel looks funny without the can
It has been a while since I had the suppressor off my 9 mm SBR. Took it off for cleaning and to test a couple new bullets for keyholes. Strange looking thing once you get use to seeing it with the can on and the extra length.

Re: MOA Expectations
One thing I will say though, if yours is anything like my 5.56 pistol upper, don’t have any illusions about getting it apart. My barrel nut must have been installed by king kong. I nearly destroyed the upper trying to remove it. Would a moderate amount of heat from a propane (not accetalyene) torch...

Re: Networked tracking scope
Reason I brought it up is I could see a problem if someone showed up at a long range competition with one of these.

Re: Form 1 Mag Light Questions
The following was several years ago: I was a little surprised at how helpful ATF was with one of my applications. She actually called me to verify a change. It was one of those somantics type things where she could have just sent it back but called me and changed my form over the phone. They have a ...

Networked tracking scope
I was reading about these in one of my glossy magazines. Enables even a novice shooter to make first round shots out to 400 yds on a moving target.

Re: Powders for the 300 BO
I use Little Gun for supers. Only reason is back during the great powder/primer shortage a few years back it was all I could find and was an 8 lb jug. Takes a long time to use up 8 lbs loading 300 BO and I am to frugal (cheap) to just dump it, plus works good. Most of my 300 BO shooting is subsonic ...

Re: Bullet weight vs. 1/7 twist 8 in. barrel
My routine sub-sonic plinker bullets are the 220 gr Leatherheads from a vendor here or the 220 gr Sierra HPBT. I have an 8" 1/7 twist SBR I shoot suppressed with no problems. You probably need to check you rifle/pistol for stability without a can first using your powder of choice and make sure ...

Re: 230gr lead loads
I'm curious about Trailboss. I use it some but cannot get it to meter worth shucks. I've considered just using the scoup that I use for my black powder gun or making one out of a 300 BO case. The BP one has an adjustment and I would probably be somewhat accurate. What I do now is weigh each load and...
