Re: Bad idea to use springs to lighten Stock trigger?

I installed the JP Yellow springs and bobbed the hammer, no issues in 700+ rounds. Trigger pull was short out the box, so no need for grip screw. My dad hates ARs, but he likes that trigger. Supposedly, the NiBo triggers are smooth eenough that they dont need to be bobbed with the JP yellow Springs,...

Re: Build a 80% polymer lower? Will the 4 upper attachment points stand up?

I was also going to suggest the Tennessee Arms. They are polymer bodied, but the main stress bearing points are made from brass. The unfinished parts are still polymer, so easy enough with a drill press, but the lower is strong. They have a few on 3-gun circuits they are following, and are always do...

Re: I have a couple more questions about my first SBR build

Why is there such a wide range of prices for free float hand-guards? I see some on E-Bay, new in the $40.00 range. Others at online gun supply places for upward of $250.00 for what looks like a similar item. Weight, finish, durability, design, warranty. Some of those $40 items are identical to the ...

Re: Troy PDW

Downside is you are supporting Troy, a company that hired the Ruby Ridge sniper and a heavily anti-2A Chicago PD superintendent. So, if you are a buyer that values buying from pro-2A companies, Troy is generally to be avoided.

There are a few tests showing that nickle boron may cause the BCG to gum up sooner than phosphate when not cleaned.

Burris Tac30 with a throw lever. Basically the MTAC with a different reticle. One of the lightest 1-4's, mounted in an Aero Precision lightweight SPR mount. The 1-4 seems plenty for a 16" supersonic, I may swap it out for a 1-6x primary arms eventually.

Re: 10.5" Noveske not grouping at 100 yards

The barrel nut indexed at about 40 ft lbs new bcg, Did you torque the barrel nut 3 times? My first rifle, I only torqued it once to just over 40lb and the nut came loose after a few hundo rounds. After torqueing three times I had to go a bit over 40lb to line up the nut, and it has been sub MOA sin...

Re: Lower recommendations

Andersons originally had some spec issues with some of the holes, but they look to have cleared that up. Order online so you get most current stock, a local place may have one of the older versions. Damn nice lower for $35. I like the ones with integral trigger guard for strength, and you can engrav...

10k rounds per rifle. Right about where a barrel is due to be replaced. Interesting. I wonder who is making the ammo?

Re: 8.5 or 10.5

For ME the 10.5" handguard is the perfect length to hold comfortably and still get a light out there. I would only choose shorter if the application called for extreme concealment, and then I would probably go for 7.5"
