Re: Dumb to ditch my 223 SBR?

Wait...the politicians have been lying about being good with our money? I'm thinking of getting a 10" upper in .223 when my 300 BLK SBR is done. Then getting a CMMG .22 pt conversion. Training rifle and HS rifle with the same length, trigger, and balance. Probably not two eotechs though.

Re: Optic suggestions?

I would be very interested in what you came up with. Zero'd at say 50 yards, I wonder if that second dot could be subs at the same.

Re: BLK for 2012

Sorry, I didn't mean that the bullet would explode. I ment the Target. I've seen some pics of our snipers work across the pond. While the OTM bullets arent supposed to expand due to Geneva rules (not expanding bullets but you can call in an air strike?) The targets rapidly expand when hit.

110 grain FMJ same as 110 vmax load?

I just found hornady 110 fmj bullets at the store. They were 2/3 the price per hundred as the 110 vmax bullets. Anyone know if these fmj bullets have the right ogive, etc to substitute for the 110 vmax bullets for more economical practice? Sure would be nice if I could load these for cheaper practic...

Re: FS: 300 BLK/Whisper Brass

Looking forward to hitting you up once my rifle is together...still saving for the upper. With your brass prices, what are people seeing as a roll your own price per 1000 rounds for reliable shooting. What ever is the least expensive, reliable bullet.

Thanks!

Re: BLK for 2012

I will take notice that you said the Sierra 125s are the most reliable. Time to stock up a few (hundred) I guess. Thanks for the help in understanding the why behind the what. Without that one can't fully understand the reason. I would assume the 125 Sierras are supposed to be for match but they wor...

Re: BLK for 2012

Teutonic hasn't responded yet but I'm still thinking that's where he was going. So basically your answer is that the lightest, useful bullet for the 300 BLK is a 110 grain. Am I correct in thinking that the 300 BLK was designed for 110-130 grain bullets for supersonic hunting and defense out to 300-...

Please tell me someone was being funny for that shot and it's just a pink cover for that can. Nice rifle and hog though.

Re: Atlanta Arms 125gr nosler green tip test on TX hogs

You guys suck. We don't have near that much meat running around in Oregon. While I don't envy your hog problem, I wish you were a little closer so I could come help. Best we can do is jack rabbits and coyotes out in central Oregon, but they aren't for eating. I guess you could eat the rabbits but af...

Re: Dumb to ditch my 223 SBR?

I was wanting an SBR and am so glad I've come across this caliber. I almost bought a 12.5" .308 SBR! While the .308 is still a great round, the 12.5" rifle is only a few inches shorter than my 16" .223. I completely changed direction in my thinking and am now very much on the way to m...
