Re: POI Differences - Fiocchi 150gr vs Gorilla 147gr

The Fiocchi ammo is known to be hot, and it sounds like it may be the case that the Gorrilla ammo is on the weak side. You'd expect them to be pretty close, if anything the lighter bullet should shoot slightly high... I'm assuming you don't have a chronograph but it sounds like that's what you're ex...

Re: Ruger American Ranch Rifle 300 blackout

Curious why you don't like the pad... Its tackiness helps a lot in unusual situations. Plus LOP is pretty short already, is a shorter stock needed for you? CW I absolutely loathe sticky rubber recoil pads... The tackiness hinders much more than it ever helps. The LOP after removal is still adequate...

Re: Ruger American Ranch Rifle 300 blackout

I got the homemade buttplate done today. Although its not perfect looking, it's very functional. My main goal was to get rid of the tacky rubber that grabs clothing when shouldering, so it does that and also had the added bonus of dropping another 1-1/2oz of weight and 1/2" from the stock (LOP ...

Re: Ruger American Ranch Rifle 300 blackout

More progress today. I've settled on a scope and got my homemade sling pretty much the way I want it, now I'm on to fixing some of the stuff I didn't like... Replacing the sticky rubber buttplate with a hard plastic one (which also drops 1/2" LOP and 1.5oz), cleaning up the sharp and ugly edges...

Re: Bolt action specific subsonic loads.

Great thread guys, making me wish I had my can already!

I've been trying to stock up on supplies but can't find Trail Boss anywhere. The $28 hazmat charge for buying online is a dealbreaker too

Just thought I'd share because it looked impressive. I forgot all about the Lehigh bullets... I'll have to check those out again.

New Subsonic Expanding Ammo - "Ripout"

Can't wait to try some of this. Looks great, expensive but hopefully worth it.

Re: "Best Price on the new Ruger American Ranch 300 BLK" THREAD!

I've been wanting to get my hands on one since they were announced, but I told my wife I'd think about it until Christmas. It's a week away from Christmas, and I thought about it enough that I already have the scope, sling, and all the other goodies I want for it. None of my local dealers can even ...
