Sorry man just seeing this mow!
ONLY issues I ever herd of was Harbor Freight Matte Blk and I cannot confirm it as reality.
Puwder coating is simply considered a lube by many people. Ones I use are Definitely a slick smooth surface.

Re: Best hunting ammo for 16" barrel
with the 300 Black Out my personal favorite hunting bullet is the Hornandy 125 gr. SST. I live in South Fla where the deer are small but the hogs can get big. also, the area where I use my 300 BLK all shots are less than 100 yds . keep in mind the 300 BLK is a marginal caliber for big game. (think ...

Re: Question re Hornady 135FTX and MonoFlex 140
I worked it up myself. But 300mp data is in a new manuals Id need to look to see whos I saw it in.
PLEASE CONFIRM, But IIRC 18.9/19.2 was MAX. I had already worked up before I saw this data. My load is 100% in my Ruger Bolt, but too hot in three M$R's.

Re: Handi-rifle: Off-center firing pin
Something I always did was swap out main spring to a wolfe extra power and double check transfer bar timing. But neither is a fix for off center FP Strikes. This is a function of a imperfectly fit barrel. Does the sn hand marked on Bbl match the frames sn? This will tell you if it was factory fit or...

Re: Best hunting ammo for 16" barrel
Handloaded, I have two favorites. A Hornady 135 FTX over 300MP powder and a 450/41 primer. A Speer GD 150 over IMR 4227 powder with a 400 Primer Both have taken deer for me under 125 yards. NO BULLETS RECOVERED from either. Something I cannot say from Hornady 125 sst use. (But never lost a animal ei...

Re: Anyone shoot lead cast pills in their 300ACC?
As mentioned if you are indeed attaining 1800+ fps with a 220g bullet. You are seriously over pressure. I just hit that with a 150 with pressure signs in my MSR's. I shoot allot of lead, from 125 ish thru 250g all feed and cycly for me. Many good powders listed in the loads area. Lately I have enjoy...

Re: Question re Hornady 135FTX and MonoFlex 140
I very much like the 135 ftx in the BO. Was using 125 Vmax or SST (dont rem). I loaded a pile years ago when I found a load) I saw these couple years back and grabbed a box. I have taken three maybe 4 deer with the bullet and unlike the 125 I have not recovered a bullet. Its extra 10g helps and not ...

Re: 300BO 10.5 blow up today
Largely I agree with Dellet. I will only ad to the cast bullet side of this Question. You mention .335 as a case neck diameter. My thought is (apologies, Im surmising and I do not know your experience level here) Cast bullets NEED to run larger then jacketed. That larger diameter DOES NOT raise pres...
