Re: my 300 blk eats its own poo
Its odd, it will strip another round off the mag, almost chamber it, then the spent case winds up back in the chamber sideways (mouth or head).

Re: my 300 blk eats its own poo
so here is the short story on the 300 blackout build. my shop mechanic sold me this barrel for $40, said he had no use for 300blk. built the cheapest upper I could put tougher because I too really have no use for the blackout but wanted to give it a go. By no real use for 300 blk I mean, I don't own...

my 300 blk eats its own poo
It has been long known that the AR15 poops from where it feeds, meaning it expels dirty gasses into the BCG. I recently built an 16" upper with pistol length gas system that will eat the case it pooped out. By that I mean, the round fires, strips a new round from the mag and almost chambers it ...

Re: Hornady 150gr FMJ - CFE BLK
ok, for the most part I have answered my own question. what I was trying to get at was the simple principle that the more bullet you shove into a case the less case volume is left for powder. seems simple right? For example hodgon's data uses a IB bullet that is 1.260 in length, I want to substitute...

Re: Hornady 150gr FMJ - CFE BLK
so you suggest using hodgdon start load for an IB bullet (witch is longer than FMJ) and seat to Hornady oal? would that not change the case volume and their for start load? sierra has a 150FMJ with a much lower start than hodgdon in their book. anyone know the difference in these FMJ bullet profiles...

Hornady 150gr FMJ - CFE BLK
Called Hornady looking for 150gr FMJ load data for CFE BLK. The "tech" said the powder was too new, and they have no data. Have any of you tried this bullet powder combo? If so what did you use for COL and start charge? I see that Sierra has a FMJ that is close to the Hornady's but I don't...
